Virtual PC 2007 + Wine + Battlefield 2 = ???

Post by luv2sd »

I'm running windows vista ultimate 64-bit on my computer

I installed virtual pc and created an OS that runs vista ultimate 32-bit

As far as I can tell, I can't run battlefield 2 using virtual pc 2007 alone and I hard that wine allows it to use my graphic card. I have 9 series nvidia graphic card.

well anyway, is it possible to run battlefield 2 on virtual pc 2007 using wine? I downloaded wine but I have absolutely no idea how to even get it to attempt to start battlefield 2 on virtual pc 2007.

any help would be greatly appreciated!

Wine is not for Windows, it's for GNU/Linux and other similar systems.

Install GNU/Linux on your computer, not VirtualPC, once you have it running you can follow the instructions on the AppDB for running Battlefield 2.

well the whole point of using virtual pc 2007 was to run another instance of battlefield 2

I guess I need to do some more research...

Wine requires extensive OpenGL support which most VMs don't have and can't provide.
