Hi All.
I was running wine 1.4 on a fresh install of Ubuntu 13.04 and got Borderlands 2 to run in full screen using a virtual destkop.
In trying to get some more games to work i updated wine to 1.7 and subsequently down to 1.6. In both these later versions when i play a full screen game the ubuntu launcher bar is visible on the left and the wine title bar at the top is visible. I've tried switching the launcher bar to my second monitor (tiny 18'5" opposed to 24" primary) but then wine just launches the game on that screen and i'm not able to move it back. I've tried doing away with the virtual destkop but then no matter what, games are always launched on the second monitor.
It's sort of annoying in path of exile since a part of the game window is cut off at the bottom equal to the hight of the title bar at the top so part of the hud is missing.
Any ideas how i can get wine to cover these 2 items?

@ODTech,
What graphics card and driver version are you using?
I don't happen to use the Unity Desktop... However whichever distro I run (Gentoo, Arch, SUSE) I tend to run KDE. Games tend to launch in my default screen (multi-monitor, spanned) - which has a panel. Any games that play up I disable the secondary monitor and play the game in the monitor I want to use.
In KDE I haven't seen any problems with panels showing over fullscreen Wine applications for years... This is with all the eye kandy turned up to the max under KDE/Kwin (wobbly windows, window animations, oxygen transparent gaussian blurred windows, etc.) So this is most likely a bug in Unity/Compiz and/or your graphics card driver. You need to file (or more likely subscribe to) a bug with Canonical.
