random desmume emulator screen issue

So randomly desmume, my nds emulator I use since I gave my brother my ds, has started this weird screen issue where it looks like what's in the picture I attached. It doesn't do this for my ppsspp(lost charger) so I'm wondering if this a WINE problem or a desmume problem. I tried 2 different solutions like deleting desmume then unzipping it again, downloading an older desmume version and added it to the applications menu in WINE but still no luck. I also notice its making my cpu jump up a lot. Any solutions?

Not to sound silly but Linux has a native desmume why not use that?
