Running game requiring CD authentication

Post by cedrickojo »

Hi,

I have successfully installed a Windows game on my Mac OSX Maverick using the newest version of wine. Everything went as expected and all installation files are under c/ program files/...

However when I try to run the game, be it through the .exe file in either /program files or directly from the setup.exe on the disk I receive the same message that I must insert the disk in order to continue.

I think this issue may be because Wine programs cannot access the actual CD drive, but I'm not sure. Do you have any workarounds? Maybe a way to mount a virtual CD within the Windows environment?

Thank you for your help, much appreciated.

I do not have an answer, but I think ...

What is the name of the game?
This is essential to answer your question.
You look for it from Wiki. Please search it by the name of game, and other.
"other" example to: http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.p ... &iId=29461
(Kirikiri geme engine have a authentication error.)

and other.
The text of a message on Dialog is necessary.
Real version number of Wine(command "wine --version" ).

Please report a bug.
