yWriter is a great novel-writing program. Version 4 runs well on wine, but Beta 5 does not display properly. The program needs Windows dotnet 2.0, and the winetricks version does not work.
The yWriter developer says yWriter5 will be made to work with mono, the open-source cross-platform version of dotnet.
But my question is, can wine use mono?

You might want to try it with the latest git and see if the situation has improved.
