On the app database it says it works but when I install it, it says I need a x64 system but then it continues to install. When I load it it stops working.

Zbrush 4r4 worked fine.

You haven't given enough information:
1) What Wine version?
2) What does it mean "it stops working" when you "load it"? It works before you load something? Or is this a typo and the program does not work at all?

By the way according to AppDB entry:

...you have to wait at least 15 minutes on startup. Possibly more if you have weak computer, so if by "stops working" you mean it freezes at start up, try waiting longer. If this does not help and you have Wine version older than 1.7.8 - upgrade and try again. If problem persists post terminal output.

Turns out I used wine 1.4 oops

but when i try to install wine 1.7 i get the message wine 1.7 not found.

I dont know.

You did not mention your distribution. What command you ran when attempted to install it? Have you downloaded it before trying to install it? If not: http://www.winehq.org/download/ . Alternatively, you can compile it from source.

I am using ubuntu and using the ubuntu download page. It still says wine1.7 not found, same for 1.6.

i can use 1.4 as it was already in the software centre.

What version of Ubuntu? If it's too old, they may no longer be packaging current Wine for it. If that's the case, you will have to build Wine yourself. 1.4 is no longer supported.

1.6 and 1.7 packages are definitely available for 13.10. Other users have installed them without any problem.

Ask for help on the Ubuntu forum.

How long you have waited for it to unfreeze? As I have mentioned before, you have to wait at least 15 minutes, 30 minutes to be sure.
