Just switched to debian & kde - Xinput and other issues

Post by J V »

So playing guild wars 2 with versions of wine past 5.1-something on xfce the game ran flawlessly.

However, I just installed Debian (Unstable repo, just to make it more interesting!) and since then I've run into 3 problems with the game that weren't there in xfce.
  • Mouse cursor
While the mouse cursor in game had a nice graphic that looked rather 3d, the graphic now looks like a flat color.
  • Mouse wrapping
The Xinput patch seemed to fix mouse wrapping in every game that used it. Now however my mouse cursor is still hitting the side of the screen. This one makes the game almost unplayable
I suspect the mouse wrapping problems have to do with kde, while the mouse cursor issue seems like something that would be caused by a debian quirk I'm missing. Anyone have any ideas?
