Hi..
I had a faulty Wine installation of Command and Conquer 4 on my Mac and used the inbuilt Wine uninstaller to remove it. So i could do a fresh install. But when I try to run Wine to install it.. Wine opens up the game install exe but only gives me the option to "PLAY" the game and not install it.
If I run the install exe directly from the ISO file I am offered the option to install it.
Why is the ISO allowing me to install but Wine not? Could it be that Wine has not uninstalled the program properly at all and thinks it's still on my system hence only the 'PLAY' Option?
I even completely deleted the entire EA game folder from C:\Program files but still Wine seems to think it's still installed and refuses to access the 'install' option from the ISO.
How to fix this please?
Thank you
Can not remove application from Wine..
Re: Can not remove application from Wine..
its probably still in the registry.
Do you have anything else installed in the same wineprefix? Normally I'd just trash the whole wineprefix and start over.
