Missing Dotted Line in Agent Newsreader

Post by Dave_F »

I'm running the Agent newsreader on Wine 1.4.1 in Kubuntu 13.04 with no problems if I insert an Nvidia graphics card, but if I use the integral graphics of the Sandy Bridge CPU (which I want to do), then the dotted lines surrounding the selected messages disappear. This small thing is a remarkably annoying fault making the newsreader almost unusable. Compare the upper and lower frames in this image:

Any ideas about how to probe this fault? I'm stumped at the moment.

Your Wine version is old and no longer supported. You should upgrade to 1.6 or later. However, that may not solve this issue; given that it works on Nvidia, it seems likely that this is a deficiency in the Intel driver.

Thanks, 1.6 worked fine. Sorry, that should've been the first thing I looked for, but I guess I assumed that the latest (K)ubuntu with the latest upgrades from its repository would have a (nearly) up-to-date wine.
