Help running AOE II Expansion (2.0)

Hi,

I am new to these forums and I'm not sure if this is a good place to post this, but anyway...
I can't seem to get AOE running. The expansion just crashes, and the normal says "Could not initialize graphics system. Make sure that your video card and driver are compatible with DirectDraw." Then crashes. Anyway, terminal says:

\\Wine pops up then instantly closes again.

I am already running it in a virtual desktop (800x600) and actually got it running on first install. Then I commented the localhost reference in /etc/hosts to get TCP/IP going and now it won't work. Any help?

OSX 10.7.5, Wine 1.4.1.
