ie6 installs, not running

Wine version 1.6
Winetricks version 20130707
Following the suggested steps using winetricks at bottom of AppDB page concerning Internet Explorer 6.0 page. Hangs on start IE...encounters a serious problem and needs to close. States that it can be a problem in the program or a deficiency in Wine, and to check the AppDB for tips on running this application.
Can't seem to get IE7 to install, but still need to research it further.
Trying to get IE and dotnet2.0 or higher installed to run program.
