Portal Problem

when i launch the game it shows the screen with the logo, then goes to the next logo with Half-life 2 but then crashes.

I am using the newest Wine available. on ubuntu

Did you:
- Disable / killed / removed pulse audio?
- Disabled "steam community in-game" (steam option)?
- Disabled / removed compiz?
- Set hl2.exe to win98 windows version (in winecfg)?
- Started the portal with this comand?
