How does one make WINE virtual desktop overlay Unity?

Post by r2rX »

Hey guys,

I'm currently on Ubuntu 13.04, with the NVIDIA 319.17 drivers and Wine 1.5.29 installed. There are two issues I wanted to enquire about:

1.) When running an application in the virtual desktop (at the same resolution of my desktop), the Unity and Taskbar are on top of the virtual desktop. How can I prioritize Wine/Virtual Dekstop to be on top without Unity/Taskbar appearing?

2.) If I don't run the app in the virtual desktop, the above issue does not occur but my refresh rate drops from 120Hz to 60Hz. Is there a way to force 120Hz?

Any assistance is appreciated.
