Feature request: Wine automatically handle network shares

I started using Wine a few month ago, and the first problem I trapped into was lack of proper support of network shares. Of course I managed to solve it with symlinks to .wine/dosdevices/unc, but user-friendliness of this process is below zero. So is there a chance that Wine will be able to do that automatically with a help from GVFS or similar tools?
