Newsleecher using Wine

Hi! New to the forum...i use ubuntu and haven't really had much experience using wine....I have a friend who uses windows and loves using Newsleecher...He was curious as to whether Newsleecher runs on ubuntu through wine, and if it does, how WELL does it run? Any problems or smooth? He said he would consider switching to ubuntu but could not live without Newsleecher and he both loves that program and also their "super search" feature....

All input would be most appreciated!
