Can;t paste Russian text into Word 2010

Hello all,

When I paste Russian text into Word it shows up as weird charaters.

Outside of Wine, Everything works fine, LibreOffice has no problem.

The reason why I have to use Word 2010 is our clients demand it....

Other then not being able to copy and paste properly, I can't type in any other languange, meaning there is no
special characeters. I do not want to go to symbold and costumize keystrokes. The reason why I can't do this is because some of the people that work here know several languages. I can't expect them to remember a custom set of keys and most of the time the symbols don't work because of Alt or Alt-gr.

Is there anyway for Word to understand the Language Input from Linux?

My editors write in English, Russian, Polish, Spanish, Sometimes all at once.

Is there a way to load more then one? We write reports and a report can have up to all of those languages!

The language bar (ctfmon.exe) is not implemented in Wine. http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=28125

The bug report hasn't been updated in quite awhile. You should add a comment that this is still an issue and affects Office 2010.

My editors cannot copy and paste natively into Word without getting hit with some crazy characters.
Any clue?

I can't reproduce that; text from that page shows up fine in Word 2010 on my system.

I am using 1.5.28 and have the MS core fonts installed systemwide. The only override is for riched20.

Is there an install guide I can follow that will match the way you installed Office 2010?

This way I can see if I did something wrong.

What do you get, if you type "locale"? Maybe your issue is somehow related to wrong locale or uf8 vs whatever?
