winetricks: msi2 & dotnet40 coexist

Hi, I cannot get both msi2 & dotnet40 installed.

dotnet40 complains that it requires a certain version of installer and the msi2 aborts with status 209 when installing the one after the other. on their own though they install fine.

Any idea?

Use winetricks to install dotnet40; msi2 is not needed, and the verb was removed from winetricks last year.

Note that .NET 4.0 doesn't yet work in Wine.
