Microsoft Office Suite 2010

I'm having trouble figuring out how to install Microsoft Office Suite 2010 (32-bit). I'm using Ubuntu 12.04. I've tried a new wineprefix, but it doesn't seem to work (though if someone could help me troubleshoot to see if I did it wrong, I'd appreciate the help). I'm a programming n00b but I'm not afraid of the terminal, so I might ask dumb questions but I'm eager to learn. Thanks for any help you can provide!

It should install out of the box.

You didn't mention what Wine version you're using. If it's not the latest development release, upgrade. If you still have problems in 1.5.27, post terminal output.

I'm using the latest development release, 1.5.27.

Office 2010 will only work in a 32 bit wineprefix. Create one with

WINEARCH=win32 WINEPREFIX=/path/to/wineprefix winecfg

(substitute the actual path for /path/to/wineprefix), then install to that wineprefix.
