Starcraft Broodwar Help plz

Okay, so I have all the "platinum" versions of Wineskin for Starcraft Broodwar. I have run all of them most are really slow in game and I wanted to fix that so that I can actually play competitively.

So I looked up for "cure" for slowness in Starcraft Broodwar and it says:
Use the key "DirectDrawRenderer" and add that to your registry with the value "opengl"; you may also need to add the key "RenderTargetLockMode" with the value "readtex".
(Found under HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Wine/Direct3D using regedit)

If the above trick does not work, or causes your Starcraft to crash on launch:

- Remove the DirectDrawRender registry entry.
- Use your Wine Configuration utility to set Emulate Virtual Desktop to on, resolution 640 x 480.

The Problem is Idk wtf that means... I really need a step by step instruction... Please help, thanks.

Wineskin isn't supported here... its a 3rd party tool that happens to use Wine.
