Mouse lag
I just wanted to say that even though they say that this problem has been fixed that I still experience problems with it. It is much improved but the mouse still seems to operate at a much lower speed than the frame rate or doesn't seem to be hooked on perfectly (as if it was a mechanical connection) and doesn't function entirely smoothly.

Which game? Using latest wine? Did you file a bug? If there's still an issue, you probably should file a (new) bug.

Hmm. I had assumed I was just stating what the devs already knew, but just thought I'd mention it on the forums. I don't actually know how to submit a bug report but I suppose I could find out.
Halo is one. It's not too bad but not perfect. It used to be terrible. Fear Combat Multiplayer is terrible and then there's an old rag no one probably knows about anymore called Shogo. The frame rate is high enough that it's not so bad you can't play but if you limited it to something like 30 frames per second it would be useless in an online game.
Fear is also interesting because your players hands legs and weapons are missing in my system.

Hmm, some games may have a general performance issue with wine and online multiplayer functionality. Did you try on other hardware with e.g. better graphics card? Do you see the issues, too, if playing without online/multiplayer (if possible)? In general you'd have to expect some performance penalty on wine, this heavily depends on the app/game.
Please file a bug for the two or three worst performing games.

This problem isn't just online and as far as performance issues go the frame rate can be perfectly fine but the mouse is still slow and slightly unhinged looking.
It has been the same problem in two different machines I have had. One with Ati and the other with Nvidia. True the mouse is faster in the faster machine but it just ran faster in general. The mouse to frame rate relationship appears the to be the same without a way to precisely measure it.
