i´m not sure if i´m at the right place but to use my wine DAW (nuendo 4) with jack and firewire interfaces i need to use wineasio.
I installed the wineasio through the openSUSE repos and registered it for the prefix:
I had expected that i got a new registrykey in [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Wine\WineASIO] but there is no new key.
Also jack dont shows up nuendo or any wine-DAW i use. I only got an entry in the jack patchbay for a WINE Alsa DAW.
Can anyone help me here?
OS: Suse 12.2
wine: 1.5.15
prefix: 32bit
path: /usr/lib/wine is fine for my system
Thanks for your answer dimesio.
I was testing a little bit and checked if other wineapps can use wineasio as a driver for me.
In all apps i tested (for example Cakewalk, Ableton, Native Instruments like Absynth or Kontakt4) i can change the driver to wineasio and they appear also in jack. (runs verys unstable, but it runs)
The only app where im not able to change the driver to wineASIO is Nuendo.
Nuendo comes with its own ASIO DirectX Full Duplex Driver which will be configured during installation. And here im not able (even after register the wineasio.dll through wine) to change the driver to wineasio.
I understand that wineasio is not supported here.
But since it seems not to be a wineasio problem and more a specific Nuendo problem i would like to ask the wine coummunity if there is anybody outside who figured out how i generally can change the driver in Nuendo/Cubase (Nuendo is basically Cubase with support of all audioformats) from the ASIO DirectX Full Duplex Driver to wineasio.
