Hello,
I just installed wine-1.4.1 on my iMac. Windows programs seem to work fine except there are no launch icons created in my Mac's Applications folder for installed Windows programs. If I look in ~/.wine/drive_c/users/Public/Start Menu/Programs/, the Windows .lnk shortcuts created by the Windows installer are there. I thought Wine is supposed to automatically map these .lnk shortcuts to Mac launch icons?
Thanks,
cinergi
Launch menu items not created
Re: Launch menu items not created
no.. it does not.
Wine on mac OS X is all build yourself and used command line.. there is no GUI integration. If you have any type of GUI use, then you are using a 3rd party program from elsewhere that isn't supported here.

Re: Launch menu items not created
Ah, I see. I had read the wine wiki and assumed (apparently incorrectly) that the functionality in other OSes would also apply to Mac OS X.
Thanks for clearing that up!
