Hard Reset not loading

I'm trying to run the game Hard Reset under wine, but haven't had much success. I have tried many different versions, the latest being 1.5-raw3. If I disable the intro movies, then it will start loading (you can see the progress bar) until it gets to about 75%, then it freezes and never goes past it. If I set the render to backbuffer, then it will load, but there aren't any graphics, other than some random effects. Any way to fix that? I have seen people were able to get it to work
