Please forgive me for English isn't my mother language so I don't know the exact word to describe the problem with Medieval II: Total War. The graphics is corrupted and the game is totally unplayable.
wine-1.5.11 on gentoo linux amd64 inside a 32bit chroot. I tried upgrade the game to 1.02 and the problem still exists. Some other 3D games( eg. Mount & Blade : Warband) works fine so I don't think it's my driver's fault.
Please look at my screen shot.
Do you know how to fix it? Or if not, how to describe it so that I can file a bug? Thanks!
screen shot in main menu. I am unable to proceed:

I don't know how to describe this problem......

Since you use Gentoo, I assume you know how to get debugging output from Wine. If not, there is documentation in the wiki.
Referencing other games isn't very reliable unless you can prove they also use the same rendering mechanisms (DX9, OpenGL). It could be Wine exposing a driver issue.
