This is a very basic question, but googling and searching here only came up with more advanced topics that assumed you already knew the answer to this!
I'm running XP as guest in Wine in a Puppy Linux. host on a Fujitsu-Siemens Esprimo v5535 laptop. It has a SiS video card. I can run XP at 1024x768 but my rig's maximum is 1200x800 which I get in the Linux host installation.
I'd like to get this resolution in the XP guest.
TIA for any help.
How do I make Wine run in widescreen?
Re: How do I make Wine run in widescreen?
Wine is not a VM, and you cannot run XP or any other OS in it as a guest. I think you have Wine confused with VirtualBox, possibly because they use Wine's Direct3D code. Their implementation of WineD3D is not supported here; ask for help on the VirtualBox forum.
