If I use wine in a game, after a while keyboard issues appear.
It's like there is some kind of threshold. If I don't keep a key pressed enough time (a lot more than a second), no keycode is sent.
After the first keycode is sent, it behaves normally (sends one keycode, waits, sends several keycodes repeatedly).
The time for this to happen is from 5min to one hour after starting wine.
Exiting wine doesn't solve the issue, It affects my whole X session.
I need to close the user X session, and start it again.
Restarting the window manager without restarting X doesn't solve the issue, and I tested several window managers.
I don't need to restart the session manager to solve this...
I don't remember this issue starting outside wine. Not even with other linux native games that force me to keep keys pressed.
It's not a hardware issue (the issue doesn't show after playing the same game under windows).
It doesn't affects my mouse.
If I just open wine and don't use the keyboard, the issue doesn't starts.
I'm using wine 1.5.6 (ubuntu version), On ubuntu 12.04
Any help solving this. Instructions in how to trace this. Or a command to restart my keyboard without restarting X is appreciated.
