Just an idea .......... was reading about googles SPDY protocol that speeds up HTTP in Linux Magazine May 2012.
Not quite sure if it is possible but the idea was ....... have an app that wine hides behind.
So that there is no direct connection between Wine and the microsoft protocol to the outside world.
If not this google app, then another.
Sort of like a squid proxy but one that is a different protocol.
Was thinking that if it doesn't look like a microsoft OS is there - you are one step in the right direction.
