Cod: MW3 Wine error

Post by FancyPantsMan »

Hey Fellas. So MW3 runs great with wine, but for some reason, single player has stopped working. I've been trying each version update and older ones as well, but I haven't gotten it back to normal. Every time I start the game up, I get this error:

Keep in mind that multiplayer does work and that this game did run successfully on wine before!

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated!

Have you tried reinstalling the game to a clean wineprefix?

Isn't that one of the games that has separate in game settings for single player than multiplayer? I'd assume maybe something that changed in the graphical or other settings isn't liked. If the game has a separate ini file for single player, maybe remove that and let it remake a default one?

Yes, I've tried that but the problem just seems to be the wine version and the game its self. They were doing various updates before the game started failing.

I've been looking at the logs and it always says:

err:wgl:is_extension_supported No OpenGL extensions found, check if your OpenGL setup is correct!

Is wine not reading my graphics card, why?

Thanks for the link! I guess I can only wait. I can live with that.
