Problems with Office 2007 in Wine

Post by urko »

Hello,
First of all, I'm sorry my English is quite bad.
The problem I have is the next:
I have inserted some hyperlinks in a Word document. When I click on them, a security-window appears and I have to click "Yes" if I want to continue. After that, sometimes the document linked is open and... sometimes not.
Could you help me, please? I have a to give a lecture tomorrow and links do not run... I'm quite desperate.
Thank you so much.
Bye

If you need quick advice: switch to LibreOffice.

I usually use it, but this time, for some reasons, I have to use MS Office. There is no other way, because I have not the chance to install Windows.

I've never seen that; hyperlinks in Word 2007 work fine here without any security window appearing. The warnings are not enabled by default; you must have done something to turn them on.

I found these instructions for disabling the warnings: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/925757.
