I have installed wine 1.4 and Quicken 2012 Premier and while I have not tried every quicken function it seems to work except "Reconcile" which locks it up. I did the prep stuff from the quicken 2011 install instructions. I am not sure what additional; information might help diannose my problem.

Thanx for the suggestions in your response. I have a log created from a failed execution I aappended tyhe log below. i do think the log starts with a (maybe the) problem. If it helps at all wine is using Win 7 emulation.
If I knew anything about Windows internals...
I thought that that the wine 1.5 series were betas. Are thet getting close to a general release? I thought I had the software sources set up correctly, but using the how to install web page the result was that it couldn't find wine 1.5. I will attack this problem now.

but I don't see any obvious cause of hang in your log.
Yes, the 1.5 series are development releases, and not ready for
prime time, but they have a lot of bugfixes, and it's good to make
sure the problem is reproducible with the latest development release
before going to town on it.

Well, here is the latest in my saga.
I noticed that it seemed to me the use of the mouse that might be the use of the mouse that triggered the lock-up I removed the Windows mouse.drv. That resulted in no change
I went looking for Wine 1.5.6 only to disc over that it had been replaced with version 1.5.7, which I installed and there was no improvement. I am interested in additional opinions.
This all seems to point to the something other than the latest version of Wine. I would suspect Quicken except it does work under Wine for other users.
I do not know where to go next.

Your initial post listed an awful lot of native dlls. Why? The AppDB howto says that as of 1.5.3, Quicken 2012 will install out of the box, without any winetricks. Try a fresh install in a clean wineprefix in 1.5.7.dlgehrt wrote: I do not know where to go next.
