Has anyone tried to intall CoolNovo with Wine?
I once tried it, but it strangely failed, saying that an executable file is not found. So I went into my Wine C drive folder, and really, no file related to CoolNovo was there to be found.
Does anyone have an idea about what was wrong with my attempt to install CoolNovo? I would really appreciate your help if you also try it yourself and tell me the correct way to install it. I am actually very new to Wine, and currently have no idea on what is going on.

You may download coolnovo up there.

I need it primarily because I need CoolNovo's IE tab function.
I once installed IE7 itself on Mac with Wine, but it had several problems, so I didn't quite find it useful (For example, it does not show any webpage whose url begins with https://, and does not show the notifying message at the top of the window) So I was just wondering whether it would be better to use CoolNovo's IE tab function instead.
I need this to cope with my bank account. The online system for my bank is based on active x. I installed the active x software itself already, but the IE7 does not let me proceed as the online system is also based on https://. I am tired of borrowing my roommate's Toshiba every time I need to handle my bank account.

I dunno about expectations, but Mozilla opens https in Wine
http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/products/d ... lang=en-US
try open the site with it:

Ok. Maybe the solution is to install Mozilla Firefox.
I've made new Ubuntu installation to some PC and get Opera. Walked to the https://launchpad.net, and no site content appears, just white screen. Then installed Firefox, and entered the site, easy.
