Hi all,
So Final Fantasy XIV (online MMO) runs perfect (Gold) with most people to this point. Although I would want to contribute by debugging it even further than the current phase. First step I wanted to undertake is to see if there are known fixes for the Debug run (Wineskin) before a player enters the game (login screen).
I get the following LastWineRun.log back after normally quiting after logging in (but not starting the actual game).

As you can see there is a lot of repetitive fixme's. I hope someone recognizes some warnings/errors that maybe can be fixed somehow.
I'm running Mac OSX Lion 10.7.3 (iMac 21" Mid 2011, 16GB RAM, Core i5 2.5GHz Quad, ATI Radeon HD 6750M 512 MB.
The software I'm using is Wineskin. The wrapper version is 2.5.4 and the Engine I use is WS8Wine1.3.37.
FFXIV (further debugging; tweaking)
Re: FFXIV (further debugging; tweaking)
This forum is for plain Wine. Ask on the Wineskin forum. http://wineskin.doh123.com/tiki-view_fo ... ?forumId=1Allendar wrote:.

FYI, your Wine version is outdated.
Thank you for your reply dimesio. I know it's outdated, but the FFXIV installation takes like 1-1.5 hour, so I'm just wanted to test in that version (it's not that old, right?). Also I don't see why I couldn't post this information here. Wineskin is just wrapping WINE packages. The log I showed is purely based on WINE's own error-logging.
Because we have no way of knowing what's in that wrapper: whether the Wine is unmodified, or whether any winetricks or other tweaks have been applied. I believe doh123 is working on a way for Wineskin users to test plain Wine so they can post logs here, but until that is ready, if you want help here, you need to build Wine yourself and post logs from that.Allendar wrote:Thank you for your reply dimesio. You do need to upgrade: versions older than 1.4 are no longer supported.
