can't open nba 08

Hi,

I installed NBA 08 with wine and the setup worked but now when i try to open the game i get following message:

ALSA lib ../../../src/pcm/pcm_dmix.c:874:(snd_pcm_dmix_open) unable to open slave

Can somebody pls help me?

I have Ubuntu 8.04

nobody has an idea?

is it my soundcards fault? cause ALSA has to do something with sound right?

Disable / remove pulseaudio. It is not compatible with Wine.

does this have other affects on my other applications? and if not, how exactly do i disable it?
