Office 2010 Install Error

Post by pkroetsch »

I am trying to get Office 2010 working on the RHEL 6 64 bit os.

I have wine installed.

When I right click to install office it opens the install screen then I get an error that says:

Setup Error
ERROR_INSTALL_LANGUAGE_UNSUPPORTED

I am not sure where to go from here.

Thanks

Follow the instructions in the AppDB. Be aware that only the 32 bit version is installable, and it is very buggy. Unless you are doing this for testing only, Office 2007 is a better choice.

I tried office 2007 and i didn't even get as far as with 2010.

I just got:

Setup did not complete successfully. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

Was this to the same wineprefix you tried to install Office 2010 to? You need to use a clean wineprefix. Delete ~/.wine and start over, following the instructions in the AppDB. http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.p ... n&iId=4992

Also, you didn't say what Wine version you're using; if it's not the latest development release, upgrade.
