Setting System Time in Wine

Hello, I'm having some problems getting an old Windows game to work.

The game requires the system date to be before January 1st, 2010. In windows I can change this, but when I change the linux system date it doesn't affect it.

You sure you really changing system time? And that you restarting Wine after wards?
