Nothing in program files folder??

Post by ET900 »

I have installed a few games and wanted to add some mods to one of them. So I look in my program files folder but nothing is there apart from 'common files' and 'internet explorer' like when i first installed wine. I have 3 games installed and none of them show up there, yet they are definitely installed as i can play them! I tried enabling the option to show hidden files but nothing else shows up. Does anyone know why this is? Thanks!

Wild guess: did you use winetricks to install these games, and are you looking for them in ~/.wine? If the answer is yes, you're looking in the wrong place. Winetricks by default installs apps and games to separate wineprefixes in ~/.local/share/wineprefixes.

If that's not the case, then how exactly did you install these games?

Ah right I see. I did install some games with winetricks but i've also used playonlinux so with your advice I found the playonlinux folder and my problem should be solved. Thanks :)
