Flatout: garbage or platinum?

Post by etwineb »

The strange title is because
FlatOut (GoG version) do not work or work perfectly changing the WINEDEBUG environment variable.

Here is the story:
I installed the game using WINEARCH set as win32 and the game did not start showing an error:
===
A debugger has been detected
Unload the debugger and try again
===
So trying to understand what was going on I started the game with
WINEDEBUG=+relay wine flatout.exe &>log
and the game worked!

So I restarted with WINEDEBUG=+relay wine flatout.exe &>/dev/null played a little and come here.

I found this article on Microsoft Support, but I do not know how much can be appliable with wine.

Thanks for any insight.

Sounds like safedisc.
This might benefit from the changes proposed in

You (etwineb), should probably put this in the WINE AppDB.
