iTunes

Post by Pseudo_Bob »

I'm trying to install iTunes, but whenever I start up the installer, it works for a few seconds before saying it's done, with some errors. And then nothing happens.

Sounds like this bug:
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=13575

The AppDB is the best place to start for info on specific apps:

It would help to know the following:

Version of iTunes
What version of Wine you are using
What Operating System you are using (uname -a), yes the ENTIRE line

Thank you.

As far as I know, it's the latest version of iTunes, if not the second-to latest.
Unless you've updated in the past week, I've got the current version of Wine, as well.
And apparently, I'm using "Linux thek3vin-desktop 2.6.24-17-generic #1 SMP Thu May 1 14:31:33 UTC 2008 i686 GNU/Linux."
I don't know if the time and date are really necessary, but it's in the line.

It would be better to tell the name and version of your distribution, not just the name of kernel - i. e. Ubuntu 8.04, Fedora 9, Red Hat and so on.

Sounds like Ubuntu to me, as I'm running 8.04 and have the following line:

Linux Coruscant 2.6.24-18-generic #1 SMP Wed May 28 20:27:26 UTC 2008 i686 GNU/Linux
