winetricks sets overrides globally rather than per app

This has never been a problem for me, because I use separate wineprefixes for each program. But a user in another thread reported that after using winetricks to install dcom98 for one program, it messed up another one of his programs. Is there a command line syntax that will tell winetricks to set the overrides only for one particular program within a wineprefix (and if so what is it)? This does seem to be something that's likely to confuse new users--at the very least, it should be mentioned on the winetricks wiki page. JMHO.
