Installing C&C Tiberian Twilight (Origin)

I haven't found a solution to my problem or another forum for this so i guess its time to ask. I recently got origin to work with my Mac and i did that so i could play Tiberian Twilight. I managed to download the game but it just hangs at installing. the bar doesn't even fill up or anything its just sitting in the middle of the bar ill include a picture. anyone have a work around for this?

The AppDB entry of Origin states that the issue Game installation stuck after downloading | Origin doesn't realize when a game was quit should be fixed in Wine 1.7.40.
Since you did not mention which version of Wine you're using, I presume that you're using an earlier version and suggest that you upgrade to the latest Wine development release (1.7.40).

After trying to update my wine got the latest version and ran the configure CMD shortcut in the folder. But to no avail my wine was still 1.7.37. Now when i try to start origin it gives me the " cant load or find the QT plugin platform for windows" error. Can someone give me a reliable download to wine or tell me what i can do.

P.S. i found out if u set origin to windows xp in config for wine it works but mine didnt.

I know Wine is available on OSX through macports or homebrew.

i tried to install wine with this tutorial: http://www.davidbaumgold.com/tutorials/wine-mac/
but it didnt work its still 1.7.37. i even tried the update command

Homebrew's Wine package simply may not be up to date, though it's hard to tell, since they don't list packages on their website. Even Macports only has 1.7.39, and Fink is even more outdated (1.7.34). Your choice is either to build Wine yourself or wait for the repositories to update their packages.

Really? looks up to date to me. I know for a fact macports has been pretty quick when it has come to updating wine lately, even the crossover version.
