Steam no text.

I have no text in my steam windows. I looked around, and the proper thing to do is apparently disable dwrite.dll. I tried this, or at least I think I did. I went into configure Wine and in the libraries tab, I selected dwrite and added it to the override list. I don't know very much (read:anything) about code. So, all of the explanations that had code in them just looked like gibberish to me. I someone could explain how to fix this like I'm five, it would be appreciated.

After adding it to the override list, did you select it and set it to Disable? You need to.
