Hi *,
I had Outlook 2010 up and running with an Exchange Server 2010, but I couldn't get a connection to an Exchange Server 2013. All I get is a message, that the server is not available.
My MAPI profile ist configured exactly as it is on my Windows machines.
Is there anything I have to configure in a special way or is this a combination, that does not work yet?
TIA.
Bye.
Michael.
Outlook 2010 -> Exchange Server 2013
Re: Outlook 2010 -> Exchange Server 2013
This is the first time anyone has reported it here, but what I get from googling is that this problem can occur on Windows, too, so it may not be a Wine issue. http://serverfault.com/questions/503208 ... hange-2013
Re: Outlook 2010 -> Exchange Server 2013
Hello,
thx for your answer.
No client runs on the Exchange server machine itself.
And the name resolution works even for the Outlook client running on wine.
On idea, though: Is there any chance to get an entry into the CredentialManager key in the registry?
On wine one first has to enter a domain controller name into the field, where on native Windows clients an Exchange Server name has to be placed. Otherwise the user name cannot be resolved. That was the case for Exchange Server 2010, too.
Therefore in the CredentialManager key one can find the entry for die domain controller only, but not a second one for the Exchange Server.
So I would add an entry for the Exchange Server and see if that will help, but I didn't find a way to add such a key.
Thx.

Uhm, as I wrote - I have three native Windows clients with exactly the same MAPI profile (exported and reimported the appropriate registry keys). All of them work as expected.dimesio wrote:This is the first time anyone has reported it here, but what I get from googling is that this problem can occur on Windows, too, so it may not be a Wine issue. http://serverfault.com/questions/503208 ... hange-2013

Re: Outlook 2010 -> Exchange Server 2013
Wine has its own regedit; you can edit the registry with it, same as you would on Windows.
Re: Outlook 2010 -> Exchange Server 2013
I know, that there is a registry in wine and I also know the appropriate key CredentialsManage.dimesio wrote:Wine has its own regedit; you can edit the registry with it, same as you would on Windows.
But I don't know how to create an entry below this key with the correct values.
At the moment there is one key for the user and password to connect to the domain controller.
I tried to copy that and change the machine name, but that didn't seem to help.
How to I maintain these entries?
Thx.
