Anime Studio 9.5 no longer works in Wine

I've run this application (https://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager. ... &iId=30649) for a long time using wine in numerous distros and wine versions but in my recently installed Ubuntu 14.04 it no longer works.
It crashes just after splash screen with a program error.

I guess some dependency is missing but can't figure out what. I've installed Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 which have been needed in the past.

1.7.35 is out now, so try upgrading to that, and reinstall to a clean 32 bit wineprefix. Test without any native dlls first--the AppDB test report does not mention needing any. If you still have problems, post the full terminal output, not just the backtrace.
