Hi,
I'm new here and so, the first thing, I wish to greet all.
------------------------
Thi is my question:
I used gnome-software to install Wine in Fedora 20.
Now I have on the desk top, of my computer, an icon of "wine" that I can launch.
I can also see on my computer this output, is I look for "wine":
--
[angelo_user@zorro ~]$ sudo find / -iname "q4wine"
[sudo] password for angelo_user:
/usr/bin/q4wine
/usr/lib64/q4wine
/usr/share/doc/q4wine
/usr/share/q4wine
find: ‘/run/user/1000/gvfs’: Permission denied
/home/angelo_user/.config/q4wine
----
As well this, I have a problem when I try to use wine:
...when I launch wine, I get some messages of error that say the application is not properly installed.
The first one message is:
-------
Cannot find or execute the 'wine' binary. Make sure that this binary is available by search PATH variable and see also INSTALL file for application depends.
-------
After this messages, come a wizard for helping me to do the set up of Wine...
The first dialog of this wizard ask me :
wine bin:
wine server:
wine loader:
wine libs ..:
I am NOT able to set correctly the required data ....
(for example wine server not run, and seem also to not be installed).
===========
So:
Gnome-software don't seem made really the installation, as well I am able to launch it (wine)
Neither I am not able to menage the wine set up using the wizard..
And neither I haven't a .rpm file to use for the installation...
===========
How I can manage this situation ?
Regards
Angelo

Re: Wine installation - wizard of set up -
It looks like all you've installed is Q4Wine, which is a third party wrapper for Wine. I would think your package manager would have pulled in Wine as a dependency when you installed it, since it's useless without Wine, but that's something to report to your distro. Q4Wine is not supported here, and packaging/package manager issues are not Wine issues either.
