Installationhelp Gray Matter

Post by Patsche »

Hi there,

i use Debian GNU/Linux 8 alias Jessie and want to install the game "Gray Matter" from GOG.com. I use Wine in version 1.6.2. When i start the installprocess i get an error message nearly at the end.

Code: Select all

runtime error (at 68;445);
and if i click the "ok.botton" i get a second message:

Code: Select all

out of stack
I already try to use playonlinux and choose another wine version with the same error. What can i do?

Start by upgrading to the latest development release; the AppDB rates this platinum for 1.7.22. If the problem is still present, post terminal output from installing to a clean wineprefix using plain Wine (no POL).

Ok thanks for answering my question. Today I have installed the game via playonlinux and there I installed every d3d and directx packages. And now it works fine. The error during installation are still there but the game works now. I also knew that it was a directx problem because i startet the config.exe fromt the game via wine and get the message that the game did not find microsoft directx. Thanks fpr spendng your time to read this post.
