Hello,
I've recently installed the new Catalyst OMEGA drivers in my Ubuntu 14.04 64 bits system. The new catalyst fglrx-core .deb package has conflicts with the libopencl1 meta-package (but it also sais in its metadata that it provides the libopencl1 metapackage). It's not explicitly said that also has conflicts with the ocl-icd-libopencl1 package, but that's the case.
Unfortunately, wine 1.7.32 depends on ocl-icd-libopencl1, and this forced me to uninstall wine to install the new drivers.
I've found dirty "solutions" in the phoronix forums: modifying the catalyst packages to remove the mentioned conflicts from their metadata, or to recompile wine without opencl support...
Anyone knows whats the "best" solution? (the one that causes fewer problems).
Thanks for your attention.
New Catalyst OMEGA drivers have conflicts with Wine 1.7.32
Re: New Catalyst OMEGA drivers have conflicts with Wine 1.7.
I'd report the problem to the Wine package maintainer.
