I have a software, LDS Library 2006, which was able to run on early versions of XP. Some later updates to XP made the software unable to run. The software manufacturer went out of business so there was no support for it after Windows updated XP.
Is it possible to "retrograde" Wine to make it work like the earlier non-updated version of XP?

You can't set Wine to an earlier version of XP, but you can change it to an earlier version of Windows, such as Windows 2000 or NT, in winecfg.
