I am trying to install this communication software under wine 1.6.2 on Debian Jessie using a download provided by an organization with the relevant server. I have successfully unzipped it, but when I click on the SETUP.EXE using winefile it opens briefly to a splash screen with a small box in the lower right about install wizard. It then crashes my system back to the command line, out of X11. The same thing happens when I use the wine command on the command line. The crash happens before I see any error messages.
The X11 log file shows nothing that I can recognize as useful. I have installed winetricks, but not sure if it's active.
Wine does properly install the main application software with another .EXE file. It works up to the point that it needs the MQSeries Client to connect with the server.
The closest that I can come to previous help is 15 IBM programs in the AppDB, none of which are MQSeries Client.

IBM MQSeries Client version 5.2.1
Re: IBM MQSeries Client version 5.2.1
Wine is a user-level process, and shouldn't be able to crash X11. Something else is wrong on your system; a buggy graphics driver would be my first suspect.

Thank you for the suggestion. I'll try to check the graphics driver. Nothing else seems to be affected so far. Wine does start the install process for a moment, so perhaps the MQSeries Client is corrupt.
