I'm running Wine 1.6.2 under Xubuntu 14.04 (Trusty).
I have several windows programs installed, each with their own prefix. Since I'm an "end-user," I have never altered the default settings for any prefix: I installed the windows software using the installation exe,msi that it came with and accepted what it did.
This has worked fairly well . . . except for two programs: Examview and Easy Grade Pro. (Yes, I'm a teacher.) On one (Examview), the right side windows scroll bar will move with the mouse wheel, but *not* with the mouse pointer. That is, I can spin the mouse wheel and negotiate the page vertically, but if I reach over with the arrow and attempt to grab the scroll bar, nothing happens: it's as if the scroll bar isn't there.
On another program (EGP), the scroll bar works with the mouse pointer, but *not* with the wheel.
Again, on the other programs I've installed, the mouse wheel and pointer work as expected: it's just these two programs. When the programs are installed on Windows machines (of course) everything works as it should.
I can't seem to find any information that will lead me to an answer as to why or how to fix the issue.
I'm use both of these programs frequently, so the quirks are very annoying and do little to help the case of "You should use Linux . . ."
Any help/insight would be appreciated.
Thanks
Ken
