OSX 10.9.4 Wine 1.6.1 PC Steam Mass Effect 2 blackscreen

The subject title basically tells the issue I'm having. I can launch Steam and was able to play through ME1 just fine after a couple of tweaks, but I cannot for the life of me get ME2 to do anything but give me a black screen upon launch. I'm not especially adept with computers in general, but I was able to comprehend the -no-dwrite fix for the PC version of Steam not having any text in the launch window. I've disabled the Steam overlay that was causing issues with ME1, but I can't seem to do anything for the sequel. Any help I could get on this would be greatly appreciated.
